The Reverend Paul M. Larson
Pastor Paul Larson is a native Californian, a Swiftie, and a Vans-wearing Pastor. He is orginally from Roseville, California. Prior to being called to St. Paul's Lutheran Family, he served as Pastor in the Salinas Valley and as Chaplain with the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and at California State University at Monterey Bay. In addition to his call at St. Paul's, Pastor Paul serves as Advocacy Director for the Lutheran Engagement and Advocacy in Nevada (LEAN).
He has over a decade of experience serving as Interim Youth Director with the East Bay Lutheran Youth Parish, working at Mt. Cross Ministries and Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp, and in various roles within the ELCA Youth and Young Adult Ministries.
Pastor Paul received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from Luther College and a Masters of Divinity from United Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia. Prior to ministry, he worked as a community organizer on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. At the core of Pastor Paul's ministry is inclusivity and empowerment to show God's love to all of God's beloved children.
When he is not preaching, he loves listening to podcasts, to Travel - ask about his summer backpacking through Europe, or spending time with his nephews. He is always on the search for the best garlic fries and tacos or talk to him about almost any Bravo show.
